Below is a summary of the initiatives CSSG is implanting in 2015 for which we are raising funds.
Training/Vocational School
Objective:
To train 40 underprivileged young adults in the hospitality sector to enable them to have a sustainable career in such sector.
Introduction:
The HTP is an initiative created by CSSG in cooperation with GD Goenka, Tante Marie, Anzals, Benares and other leading institutions, in order to give underprivileged young men and women the chance for a meaningful career in the Hospitality sector.
The objective is to provide hospitality training in two courses for 20 young adults each. One of the courses will be organized by GD Goenka and the second one will be taken forward by Tante Marie (UK) with the support of Ansals and Benares. Our partner organizations will take care of the training covering basic areas of the Hospitality sector, such as Cookery and Bakery.
After completion of the course, the participants will be awarded a qualification certificate. We are also in discussion with leading hotel chains (such as the Leela Group) to take on the young men and women after the training course.
Target Group:
The young men and women that are participating in the course will be at least 18 or older and come from extreme poverty; many of them have been abandoned by their parents. These children all live and study in the non-profit foster homes that we work with. We are looking for individuals with a special interest in areas covered by the Hospitality sector. The participants will have at least completed 10th Grade in their Schooling.
Gender through Art Re -Education
Objective:
Writing and painting will be used to express views on gender issues and women empowerment as part of an art exhibition and outreach project.
Introduction:
The “Art Exhibition and Outreach Project” (AEOP) is an initiative created by Creative Services Support Group (CSSG) in collaboration with several partner organizations such as Flow India (Delhi) and A New Direction (London) to run an international project, aimed to examine young women’s future aspirations and thereby educating children in India and around the world on gender stereotypes and inequality issues.
The project includes two forms of expression: writing and painting. Girls aged 14 to 18 in India and other countries, will be invited to write to the world on their personal hopes, dreams and aspirations for the future. Besides that, a number of contemporary artists have been invited to contribute their works, reflecting similar themes on gender and the power of writing. The proposed exhibition intends to present a selection of the letters with the artwork. The ensuing parallels and diverse pathways of expression manifested by the two distinct groups shall forge an unspoken dialogue for the viewers of the exhibition and form a starting point for discussion and the re-examination of self-held stereotypes during all the process.
At the end of the process, a book will compile the letters, the artwork and the results.
Target group:
The AEOP will be open to a wider audience since the idea is to examine young women’s future aspirations and thereby educating children in India and around the world on gender stereotypes and inequality issues.
However, the creative writing workshops will be focused on girls aged 14 to 18 in India and other countries.
The initiative is supported by Amtek and their CSR initiatives, Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi, Hypatia / Club UNESCO in Mexico and the Spanish Ambassador to Delhi.
Additionally we have the support of a number of artists, who will donate pictures to the exhibition, which then act as compliment to the letters. The pictures will be specifically created around the message of the exhibition.

“Amtek has continually focussed on Children’s Education & skill development of youth. By supporting CSSG’s outreach program we have taken a step towards providing skill based training to young adults of the marginalized segments of the society who otherwise have limited opportunities. We firmly believe that youth needs to be provided vocational training in various creative fields to give them diversified options of employment thus becoming empowered citizens of our Nation with equal rights & opportunities.”
Mr. Anubhav Dham, Executive Director Amtek
“The CSSG programme ….… appears to be well thought out and highly relevant in these times. Would like to congratulate you for such an initiative!”

“I have known about CSSG since their first fund raising event in 2011. Over the years I have got to know them better. The work and dedication they have on providing opportunities to young men and woman is phenomenal. It has been an honour to be able to support such a powerful initiative and utilise the creative sectors to help those less fortunate than us. On a more personal note I have found Anand Kapoor to be one of the few people I know who is focussed, dynamic and determined to make a change through the charity. It is important that we support such initiatives as CSSG in any way we can as this has the potential to make a massive change to the way we view poverty in India.”
Gustavo de Arístegui, Ambassador of Spain in New Delhi
Career Exposure
Objective:
Underprivileged youth receive career exposure opportunities in the creative sector of their interest. Such support complements their individual development plan and strengthens their profiles to be strong candidates for better and related job positions.
Introduction:
The “Career Exposure Support” (CES) aims to benefit underprivileged youth that have already received support provided by CSSG (such as training, education or mentoring) and need exposure in the creative sector of their interest.
In that regard, the CES helps youth to build up their experience in the field of interest, providing them with more skills and abilities to be more competitive in the job market.
Several strategies will make the project the best preparation for the job placement project. Therefore each action taken in that sense will be based on the specific needs of each youth on a case-by-case analysis.
Target group:
All underprivileged youth already receiving support from CSSG
Edible Ethical Education
Objective:
To provide an opportunity to underprivileged youth to have access to edible and ethically grown food while involving them to promote education in this field and learning how to develop this project as a self-sustainable initiative.
Introduction:
The “Edible, Ethical & Educational Project” is an initiative that tries to combine access to proper nutrition with education.
Creative Services Support Group (CSSG) in collaboration with Farm Love would like to launch a project enabling beneficiary youth to eat their own ethically grown food while learning how to cultivate such food and how to implement and manage their own self-sustainable project. Furthermore, the project would be beneficial to also promote job skills, good nutrition and education for the people and communities around those main beneficiaries.
Target group:
The EEE Project will focus on two main groups. One group will be formed by those youth in charge of the project. Another group will be underprivileged young boys and girls living in homes that will receive a better nutrition and will learn from the project.
The project will have the potential to benefit also the homes, schools and communities where those young women and men will be living and developing. The farm will be open for those schools, homes and communities as part of a cascade effect looking into improving nutrition and education in such groups.
The initiative is being supported by Farm Love and Alice Water’s Edible Schoolyard and Edible Education Project
“CSSG initiative of an afternoon of farming, is a great stepping stone for the kids who will then have an opportunity to train at Le Cordon Bleu, New Delhi and create career opportunities for them in the culinary arts. We together, aim to make this a continuous process where the kids will also re visit the farms to see how their produce is growing and also have an opportunity to do internships within FarmLove. It is an honor to be able to work with Mr. Anand Kapoor and assist in whatever way we can, to create opportunities for children who truly deserve to dream big and reach for the stars.”
Ambika Seth, Founder of Farm Love
Monthly Inspirational Talks
Objective:
Monthly inspirational talks benefit underprivileged youth in areas of their interest thanks to creative experts and professionals.
Introduction:
One of the lessons that CSSG has learned since its inception is that youth (and specially underprivileged youth) do need leading roles to gain motivation and confidence. Therefore, it has been decided that monthly inspirational talks would be initiated with famous leaders, to bring motivational roles to our beneficiaries so they can listen to their experience and advice, as well as learning from them.
Target group:
All CSSG beneficiaries in general, indirectly, it might also benefit other youth coming from the same homes or social environment of our youth.
